SPIRIT-- a beautiful Arabian stallion so abused, the owner who rescued him felt he must be put
down unwilling to endanger others.  He will forever be the inspiration to keep on doing what I do. In
my heart there will always be a whisper maybe.. somehow.. just give it time.. I am MORE inspired
to keep the work going to rescue horses in the memory of ..SPIRIT...  May there never have to be
another second chance lost.......

GRACIE-- A 21 year old blind Appaloosa was the first blind horse I rescued and learned so much
from, Gracie was with me for 2 years and then lived out the rest of her days with Tandra and KTS
Lone Cedar Rescue. Thanks for loving her every bit as much as we did at Epona.

JERRY-- The most loving and brave soul I have ever met. Jerry was rescued from the Filley Feedlot
and was 33 years young. He was the old man of Epona at 33 years. He flourished over the summer
of 2007 and grew into a beauty. Jerry passed away in Sept and is sorely missed.

Champ-- a horse that died to young, body wasted from lack of food and care " I held your dying
head in my arms. I whispered to you that you are loved, stroking your tired wasted body, my heart
breaking. We were to late for you my friend but will continue in your memory for the others that
can be saved.

Snort-- He came to liveout the rest of his life at Epona and Sadly it was not long , He passed away
June 1 peacefully and is very much missed.

Here is a link to the news story in the Kearney Hub that was printed on March 15, 2008. There is one
error in the story, the cost per horse should be an average of $150 per month not week.
